IST's Vision Statement: Why It's Crucial Today
As we approach the final chapter of 2023, I have been thinking about the importance of IST’s mission statement:
IST empowers our employees to lead with passion, purpose,
and excellence in order to exceed the expectations of
our clients and support our communities.
You can have all the drive in the world, but without a mission, you miss the opportunity to lead purposefully. At IST, that purpose is having the honor to provide the best customer service to our clients.
Soon, we will be sending out cards with our mission statement to all our internal employees. On the back of the card reads, “It’s my honor.” Selling the best services is a given. We hire the best and develop the industry’s leading technology. To serve our clients with the highest level of customer service is to go the extra mile intentionally; it’s an honor to do.
I am challenging my IST family to lead with this vision and use, "It's my honor" when someone says thank you! Much like the Chick-Fil-A response, "It's my pleasure," I want "It's my honor" to become synonymous with the full IST partnership.
I am honored to lead the best team IST has seen in our 26 years of business. Each person at IST brings a unique and fresh perspective to the table, and I am thrilled at how this will position IST for success for the rest of the year and well into 2024. One of our new talents is our Chief Financial Officer, Rachel Meyer. Rachel brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, change management, and leadership and will surely build upon the great work of our previous CFO, Julie Collins. We are excited to welcome Rachel to the IST Family!
My favorite part of running a business is building lasting friendships with clients. As we near Thanksgiving, it’s one of the things I’m most thankful for! Remember, to carry out IST’s mission is an honor we are fortunate to have, and from that, we build partnerships that continue to grow. Thank you all for this honor.
