Community Outreach

We believe the Passion of a Servant’s Heart reaches beyond our Corporate world and serves those who cannot help themselves. We serve others not because it looks good on a resume or a website but because there is a real need and we are mindful of our community and our responsibility to it. One of IST’s principles is to bring value to others – whether that value is funding, food, shelter, or safety.

Our outreach programs also benefit our employees who receive growth and joy at being the helping hand that made a difference in somebody’s life. Always mindful of the needs of our local communities IST Gives Back division is involved with charities and aid organizations positioned to make the greatest positive change in the cities where we operate. 

Our continuous advocacy for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation results in average donations of $40,000 every year to help affected children and families.

We sponsored an initiative to raise funds and donations for Lost-N-Found Youth, an Atlanta organization that provides services to young LGBTQ+ people experiencing homelessness. 

Hal Blackman challenged his employees, in the spring of 2022, to donate to humanitarian relief in Ukraine. He raised $29,000 which he personally delivered to charities in Poland for Ukrainian refugees.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Great Strides

Since 2012, IST Management has been a proud sponsor of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and participated in the annual Great Strides events nationwide.

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. It clogs the lungs, obstructs the pancreas, and stops natural enzymes from breaking down and absorbing food. IST Management’s CF Ambassador is a fifteen-year-old boy named Blake. Since he was four years old, IST has proudly raised money and awareness to add tomorrows to Blake’s future. With Blake as our inspiration, we are proud to walk alongside the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Great Strides to support this important cause!
