IST has been at the forefront of providing on-site facilities management services for over 26 years. One of the differentiators that makes us unique is our web-based, proprietary software. We call it IST Suite. While many of our competitors use a patchwork of third-party software, IST’s software is home-grown and customized for our various services. For example, we use voice recognition for mail sorting, which helps us sort mail faster and more accurately. Our advanced technology equips one worker with the efficiency of many, creating faster workflows at a lower cost for our clients.
One of the newer services that IST provides is the IST Kiosk and Smart Locker technology for many universities across the country. Without this software, students can often wait up to two hours in line to obtain packages sent to them at the university they are attending. We integrated IST software with smart lockers to improve the student experience at their university. Instead of waiting in line for two hours, students can get their packages in two minutes.
With IST's software, students receive a message when their package arrives and is assigned to a locker. Using a QR code, the student can scan and open the locker to retrieve their package. This software also enables students to tell our service centers that they are on their way to pick up their packages, thus speeding up the process if it's still in the queue.
Merging IST software with smart lockers is not just a great solution for universities. We use this same technology to deliver packages at any time or day of the week to other types of clients, such as law firms and corporations. One of the cornerstones of IST is that we are constantly looking for new ways to serve our clients. We have a keen sense of listening to our clients and creating new solutions based on their needs. When you combine client needs and two major upgrades a year with our software, it translates into improved services on an ongoing basis.
While our software is excellent, it requires
