A Year of Growth at Halidom

Hanging With Hal

A Year of Growth at Halidom

This month, IST Management Services celebrate 26 years in business! I am filled with many thoughts and emotions when I reflect on all these years. The most significant decision of my life was to leave my job and start a new company. While that was huge, I am grateful to see how our company has grown and changed over these years, and in many ways, I never predicted. That’s history.

Some employees joined me early on, but others are fresh on the scene, bringing in many new ideas. On our 25th anniversary, we celebrated the opening of our new Headquarters in Atlanta. This year, on our 26th anniversary, we will open our new food hall, the Halidom Eatery. The food hall will be on the first floor of our headquarters, comprising 13,000 square feet. This new food hall will help change the landscape of Atlanta and bring new small businesses to our side of town where people can gather and enjoy good times. We have received much publicity about our new food hall, and believe it will be a huge success!

Part of that success includes hiring Paris Jeffcoat, General Manager of our food hall, the Halidom Eatery. When asked to provide an update on the food hall, Paris had the following comments:

Halidom Eatery is set to open this winter with eleven unique cuisines, a café, and a central bar. What makes our food hall so special? The gorgeous south beach meets art deco design with indoor and outdoor seating. It is a dedicated kid-friendly area with soft seating, TVs, table games, and an interactive game wall. People can order at their table from any food stall in the hall- no more long lines!   Everyone has been so welcoming and kind since I started at IST. I’m excited to work with a dedicated, passionate, and consistently helpful team. I look forward to building a place full of opportunities for local chefs and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and build their businesses!”

Let’s not forget that Brad Burgess, Vice President of Marketing and Real Estate, found the property, which eventually would become IST’s new headquarters. Thank you, Brad!

That’s not the end of the story. We also plan on building a 6,500-square-foot retail building, an 89-unit luxury apartment building, and a 2-acre park. We have come a long way from our humble beginnings in the downtown Atlanta Peachtree Center. I want to thank all of you for Hanging with Hal and helping to build a company we all can be genuinely proud of. Thank you for all that you do.

The most important lessons often come from others, whether they teach us intentionally or we are even aware that we are absorbing meaningful lessons from our outside environment.
Reflecting on IST’s 2024
By Hal Blackman December 18, 2024
Each holiday season gives me the opportunity to reflect on the peaks and pitfalls of the year. The season calls on us to slow down and reflect in the face of a new year. For IST, 2024 was a defining year built on expansion, innovation, and meaningful connections.
IST x MUST: The Gift That Keeps On Giving

This year's final community outreach initiative, our annual toy drive, is a personal favorite of mine. It's infinitely more satisfying knowing that our efforts will support MUST Ministries and their annual Holiday Toy Shop.
