13 Years Fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis

For the past thirteen years, IST has had the privilege of fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). This long-standing tradition has not just been about raising funds for the research and, one day, cure of Cystic Fibrosis (CF); it's also been about supporting our fantastic ambassador, Blake, and his family.

Our commitment to this cause remains unwavering, and this year, we set an ambitious goal to raise $30,000 to help fight CF. It's a cause that hits close to home for many in our community, and the turnout was a heartwarming testament to the collective spirit of IST.

IST’s Great Strides

Fundraising, especially in such significant amounts, is no small feat. Yet, the dedication and creativity of our team members proved that when a community comes together for a noble cause, nothing is out of reach. Here's how we made it happen:

• Individual Participation: To receive an IST CF shirt and walk in a local event, employees created a walk page and asked their community to contribute to their campaign. This tangible goal motivated participation and gave everyone a clear target to reach.
• Vacation Opportunities: To add a bit of excitement to our fundraising efforts, we organized two special drawings. Lucky participants had the chance to win a vacation to Atlantis in the Bahamas or a luxurious two-night stay at the Marriott in Atlanta, GA. These incentives not only bolstered our fundraising efforts but added an element of fun to the campaign.
• Chili Cook-Off: Our corporate office raised the heat with a chili cook-off, engaging our team members' competitive spirit and culinary skills for a good cause.
• Wellness Through Fitness: Regional Operations Manager Darrin Brennan took a unique approach by offering fitness coaching, turning personal wellness into a communal benefit. All proceeds went towards our CF fundraising.
• Nationwide Walks: IST members joined walks across the nation to support those battling CF, embodying the essence of unity and shared purpose.

Our primary strategy, however, was reaching out to our generous community—friends, families, and colleagues who have supported us in the past and continue to do so. Through these collective efforts, we inch closer to our goal, demonstrating the power of community and the impact of combined efforts.

The Impact

The significance of our fundraising efforts goes beyond the monetary contributions. It's about making a real difference in the lives of those affected by Cystic Fibrosis. This year, IST raised $21,574 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The funds raised contribute to life-saving research, medical advancements, and support services for CF patients and their families.

It's a reminder that when we come together, we can overcome challenges and positively impact the world.
