The Evolution of IST Management

In 1997, IST Management Services, Inc. started as an Atlanta-based outsourcing company focused on serving the facilities management needs of corporate clients while delivering the best service possible. What began with mailroom services quickly expanded into nearly every office support service imaginable. IST has developed all of its own proprietary technology from the start, allowing us to avoid overhead or licensing costs strategically. Many new service offerings began as IST’s response to a specific client request that evolves into widespread demand. While our service offerings have greatly expanded and changed over the years, our passion remains the driving force behind all that we do.

Within only a few years, what began as a small shop with big dreams on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta became the largest independently owned facilities management company in the US on the strength of its:


  • Award-winning HR programs.
  • Focus on customer service.
  • Proprietary business process management technology.
  • Passion to “simply do better than we did before.” 

2006

IST’s enthusiastic reception in the Facilities Management marketplace resulted in such staggering growth that it necessitated moving to larger offices in Atlanta’s historic Glenwood district. Over the following decade, IST stayed true to its mission while growing and maintaining:


  • Operations spanning the continental U.S.
  • 11% average annual revenue growth.
  • 90% average annual customer retention.


2013


In 2013, IST expanded to serve law firms and legal teams by introducing its eDiscovery services. Clients came pouring in, and within five years, legal solutions became the most profitable division of IST.

2016

IST prepared to transform its foundation of passionate service, process expertise, and technological innovation into a diversified Integrated Facilities Management model, giving our customers greater access to eDiscovery,  IT,  Legal,  Records  Management, and  Document Management efficiencies under a  single outsourced management umbrella. The availability of these resources to our customers combined with our national reputation for trustworthy, conscientious service to result in tremendous success and further growth.

2018

Court Reporting

As technology universally advanced, it became the main driver for IST’s growth and direction. The conversation was no longer solely about the quality of employees at IST but also the quality of technology and ability to use it. Tools like Relativity, Cloud9 Explorer and Celebrite became leading players supporting IST’s Legal Services functions.

2019

In 2019, IST broke ground on our newest HQ complex, Halidom, in Atlanta’s thriving East Atlanta Village and a short drive to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport where we will continue to serve the U.S. and expand into global markets.

2021 proved to be a significant year of growth for IST! With the addition of our Virtual Support Center and Managed Review Services, our company grew the IST family significantly with the addition of our new Virtual Support Administrators, attorneys, and national directors.

IST’s new Global HQ opens its doors


A lot has changed since IST’s inception in 1997. We have expanded our service and product offerings, changed our procedures, and evolved with the ever-changing world around us. Today, we proudly serve clients with the same passion that built us.
